Rev. Dr. David G. Latimore is the Director of the Betsey Stockton Center for Black Church Studies at Princeton Theological Seminary in Princeton, New Jersey. He has over twenty years of pastoral and investment management experience, most recently serving as Senior Pastor at Fifteenth Avenue Baptist Church, Nashville, Tennessee and as President and CEO for the Initiative for A Competitive Inner City (ICIC).
He earned a Ph.D. in Theology from the University of Chicago Divinity School, a D.Min. in Homiletics from McCormick Theological Seminary, Chicago, a M.Div. from Duke Divinity School, Durham, North Carolina and a BA in Economics from Harvard University. He served as pastor at three other congregations: Mt. Zion Baptist Church, Joliet, IL, Mt. Carmel Baptist Church, Gainesville, FL and Southern Union Baptist Church, St. Louis, MO. Prior to attending seminary, he had a career in investment management and economic development. MMBB service began in 2025. He currently serves on the Benefits Committee and the Finance Committee.
