Matt Toupin has been the Lead Pastor of First Baptist Church of Portland, Oregon since 2020 and an Associate Executive Minister of the American Baptist Churches of the Central Pacific Coast (ABCCPC) since 2017. He has served in lead pastoral roles in both Oregon and Nebraska since 2012, prior to which he served as Associate Pastor of Youth and Outreach at First Baptist Church of Oregon City. He has also worked as an assistant controller and instructor in public and private universities in Oregon.
Mr. Toupin has an M.Div. from Western Seminary, along with an MBA from Oregon State University. He also holds a B.S. in Business Finance and a B.A. in Spanish from Oregon State University. MMBB service began in 2024. He is a member of the Benefits Committee. MMBB service began in 2024. He is currently a member of the Audit Committee and the Benefits Committee.
