As we enter autumn and the leaves begin to change color, MMBB is making final preparations for a move to a new recordkeeping provider for our retirement plans in November. Members with balances received communication about this change this past summer. Fall is a time when churches have returned to their regular schedule of activities after the summer, and parents are watching their college-aged children begin the fall semester. Many of you have heard recent news about the Federal Debt Relief Plan, which seeks to help those with student loans transition back to regular payments as pandemic-related support ends. If you or your children carry federal debt because of seminary or college loans, you may be wondering what the debt relief plan means for you. In our article, “Understanding the New Federal Loan Forgiveness Plan,” we discuss how the plan affects you.
Balancing many financial goals at once is a year-long activity for many people. In the first of a three-part series, “Managing Multiple Financial Priorities,” we supply guidance on “juggling” competing monetary objectives.
October is both Pastor Appreciation Month and National Financial Planning Month. With October right around the corner, we thought it fitting to share some big wins from our Strategic Pastoral Excellence Program. Read “Strategic Pastoral Excellence Program - Stories of Success” to find out how participants have benefitted from our financial planning guidance on their financial wellness journeys. Finally, we explain the many designations financial planners may have and why these certifications are important in the article, “Financial Credentials—What Do They All Mean?”
As we embrace the season of change that is autumn, I leave you with this scripture: “May the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace in believing, so that by the power of the Holy Spirit you may abound in hope.” (Romans 15:13 ESV)
Enjoy the fall foliage and this issue of Tomorrow.
