Spring is a time of revival and reawakening. As we enjoy the warmer weather and cherry blossoms, many of us are also doing our spring cleaning. With that in mind, this issue of Tomorrow places an emphasis on financial spring cleaning.
We begin with part two of our article, “Are We There Yet? Measuring Your Progress on Your Journey to Retirement,” in which we share ratios you can use to help you determine how you’re faring on your road to retirement. “Create a Roadmap to Your Finances for Your Beneficiaries” offers guidance on making sure your financial affairs are in order for your family.
Part one of a three-part series on money management at various ages and stages of life, “What You Need to Know to Manage Your Finances in Your 20s and Your 30s,” provides tips for organizing and planning your spending early. In "Spring Clean Your Finances," we explore decluttering and setting up systems for your personal finances. Finally, with bank insolvency making news headlines, “Financial Fact: What Is FDIC Insurance and Why Is It Important?” sheds light on a resource that is designed to protect the money in your bank account.
I would like to leave you with this scripture: “The heavens belong to the Lord, but he has given the earth to all humanity” (Psalm 115:16 -- NLT). In this season when daylight lingers longer, let us use the extra hours of sunshine to experience the beauty of the earth God has gifted to us. At MMBB, we are honored to continue to serve you.
Sincerely,
Louis P. Barbarin
